Secondary Electrical Makings
Age: 13 – 18 Years
Task
Embark on an electrifying mission to transform a 3D puzzle into a brilliant illuminated model! On competition day, participants receive a kit with all materials, including LEDs, wires, switches, a soldering iron, batteries, and a circuit board.
The challenge: construct a working circuit that lights up your model — creatively, neatly, and efficiently — within the given time.
Advanced Circuit Construction Challenge
Mission Requirements
- Assemble the 3D puzzle correctly and firmly
- Light up at least 15 LEDs for State competition
- For National competition, illuminate as many LEDs as possible
- Each LED must be spaced at least 3 cm apart
- Soldering joints must be clean and secure
- Secret missions may be introduced at the National level
Competition Regulations
